What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking an Academic Program Manager to support the mission and vision of the University within the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences at the Physician Assistant Studies Department. The Academic Program Manager provides oversight and coordination of administrative tasks that support the academic functions of the department, including the recruitment and hiring process for adjunct and instructional faculty. This role also assists with the faculty and staff hiring processes to ensure effective, efficient program operations that follow University guidelines. Additionally, the Academic Program Manager offers administrative support to ensure compliance with accreditation and university standards, ensuring the smooth functioning of academic affairs within both the preclinical and clinical phase of the program.

This is a remote position. 


A Bachelor’s Degree and two years of relevant work experience is required. Four years of relevant work experience is preferred. Education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another. 

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

  • Solicit, create, and maintain current website and learning management system content for the recruitment, hiring, and training of instructional faculty, principal faculty, and staff
  • Maintain instructional faculty and principal faculty records compliant with University and College personnel, fiscal policies, and ARC-PA accreditation standards
  • Ensure that instructional faculty have an up-to-date state Physician Assistant license
  • Manage travel expenditures to support safe, timely travel for principal faculty, instructional faculty with travel support resources (CTM, travel agencies, etc.), rental car requirements, expense report instructions
  • Collect data from instructional faculty regarding student and program outcomes and data for the purposes of programmatic self-assessment, strategic planning, and accreditation reports
  • Assist in establishing and enforcing program standards, policies, and procedures, which align with University policies and procedures, for the purpose of planning, recruiting, hiring, and retention of instructional faculty, principal faculty, and staff
  • Contribute to an environment that supports faculty, staff, and students working together for the attainment of student success and the strategic plan
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures related to the administrative and academic functions of the department, including the Student and Faculty Handbooks, in accordance with program, accreditation, and University standards
  • Collaborate with University partners as needed to ensure consistency of published policies, procedures, and programmatic requirements
  • Support course directors/coordinators in adjunct faculty planning, utilization, and evaluation
  • Support the coordination and publication of academic program calendars with the Program Director
  • Provide support during on-site events and activities, including assisting with set-up, coordination, and cleanup, when requested
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support mission Baylor University

The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $60,000. 

The full salary range for this position classification is $42,974.63-70,908.14. 

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
