Model Oncology (“MO” or “Company”) is a next-generation management services organization dedicated to enabling world-class cancer care services within health systems. MO does so through a partnership model that expands and enhances the oncology service lines of its health system partners through dedicated investment, a technology and analytical backbone, and a unique ecosystem of health system operators and physicians. The Company was founded by a group of executives and investors with unique expertise in oncology care and health system partnerships, having previously founded American Oncology Resources, The US Oncology Network, OneOncology, and Select Medical, with additional executive experiences at Via Oncology, Flatiron Health, and Evidation Health.

Summary

MO is seeking to expand the Product and Innovation team by adding a Director of Partner Integration. This person will work closely with Ed Rodgers (SVP, Product Innovation and Analytics) to manage the project management functions for MO’s partnership implementations and internal project management initiatives. This role is responsible for orchestrating the successful integration of new health system partners, ensuring MO resources are coordinated effectively, and managing the ongoing project needs of established partnerships. As needed, this role will support project management tasks for critical internal initiatives including technology implementations and technology development project management.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complex multi-stakeholder initiatives, and is excited to build project management capabilities from the ground up in a fast-growing healthcare services company.

Primary Responsibilities

Partner Site Integration Management

  • Own and manage the end-to-end project plan for new health system partner integrations, from letter of intent through full operational go-live
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive implementation timelines, tracking key milestones across clinical, operational, financial, and technical workstreams
  • Coordinate with partner health system stakeholders to align implementation schedules, resource requirements, and decision points
  • Identify and mitigate implementation risks proactively; escalate blockers appropriately and drive resolution
  • Establish and refine repeatable integration playbooks and templates that scale with partnership growth

Resource Coordination

  • Serve as the central coordination point for MO resources across multiple concurrent implementation projects
  • Work with functional leaders (Clinical, Analytics, Operations, Technology) to allocate appropriate resources to integration workstreams
  • Maintain visibility into resource capacity and utilization; anticipate constraints and plan accordingly
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure seamless handoffs and accountability
  • Established Partnership Support
  • Manage incoming project requests from established health system partners, ensuring proper intake, scoping, prioritization, and resourcing
  • Track and report on status of partner-driven initiatives; maintain transparency with partner stakeholders
  • Continuously improve processes for partner request management as the partnership portfolio grows

Project Management Organization

  • Establish project management standards, tools, and cadences for internal initiatives
  • Build a project management culture that balances rigor with the agility required of an early-stage company
  • Enable implementation project tracking for vendor supplied technologies to be used by MO employees, ensuring milestones are met and cross-functional dependencies are managed
  • Contribute to technology development project management, including backlog grooming, sprint planning facilitation, and delivery tracking (in Azure DevOps)

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of enterprise-level project management experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects or implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects across multiple concurrent workstreams with competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating across internal and external teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complexity into clarity
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar – we are currently using Smartsheet)
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with evolving requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, preferably with provider organizations, health systems, or healthcare technology companies
  • Experience with oncology programs or specialty care operations
  • Background in enterprise software implementations both as the implementer and as being implemented an external solution
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycles
  • Experience at early-stage or growth-stage companies; comfortable building processes from scratch
