In this role, the Executive Program Manager will drive overall client satisfaction by providing business & program management leadership for key GE-Client structured partnerships working in close alignment with the Account Executive, extended account teams, Regional Finance team & others. This position is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with Adventist primarily and other Accounts, in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and GE Healthcare. The position provides the client with a single point of contact for comprehensive execution of all contractual deliverables across equipment, digital & service, maintaining high level of customer satisfaction while driving measurable financial impact for both the Client and GE over the lifecycle of the GE-Client partnership.

Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, the Executive Program Manager will drive overall client satisfaction by providing business & program management leadership for key GE-Client structured partnerships working in close alignment with the Account Executive, extended account teams, Regional Finance team & others.  This position is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with Adventist primarily and other Accounts, in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and GE Healthcare.  The position provides the client with a single point of contact for comprehensive execution of all contractual deliverables across equipment, digital & service, maintaining high level of customer satisfaction while driving up overall revenue & profitability over the lifecycle of the GE-Client partnership.

This is a remote role in the sense that there is not a GEHC office that the candidate would report to but DEEPLY imbedded with the single assigned client health system. Significant in person rounding across all campuses is expected with on average 3 - 4 days a week on site at their flagship campus.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish critical implementation and operational processes and templates to manage and monitor the overall project deliverables, ensuring they meet the Customer requirements and are fully risk assessed
  • Implement robust processes and formal reporting arrangements in which to track and monitor project progress against the agreed plans and agreements between GEHC and the customer i.e. KPI metrics, project and operational risk, cost and program reports, variation process / control, etc.
  • Primary customer interface to GEHC for all matters relating to the Partnership agreement, and building a long term, strategic alliance with all levels of the Customer to protect against competitive threats and continue to add value.
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve program safety, quality, and profitability objectives.
  • Establish both internal and external operational mechanisms to manage long-term project liabilities and profitability to ensure safety, quality, and profitability objectives for the program are met.
  • Function as customer advocate to internal management, maintaining cognizance of all program issues. Work closely with other GEHC businesses and account management teams to ensure clear communication throughout the enterprise.
  • Represent GE Healthcare in all project related business and contractual discussions with the customer. This also includes ensuring that all appropriate contract documents such as acceptance certificates and variation agreements are completed on a timely basis.
  • Organize and support program/technical/operational reviews with customer and generate regular program updates for internal management. 
  • Ensure that equipment maintenance schedules are tracked and completed as planned.
  • Take a lead role in driving operational excellence and efficiency opportunities with the Customer, GE Healthcare, and GE Healthcare’s funding partner, through asset utilization and technology planning
  • Communicate with members of sales/marketing/service team to maximize all sales potential and help penetrate and grow GE’s share of wallet.
  • Ensure all appropriate employees are aware of the Hospital’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to Project teams in identifying and reviewing contractual Terms and Conditions, identifying potential operational risks in implementing and delivering the Contractual commitments. 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience with five (5) years of program management experience, in either: Healthcare OR Public and Private Partnership Projects OR Operational or Service leadership roles.
  • Must live within the territory. (Territory: Southern Louisiana)
  • Solid business acumen & strong analytical skills with knowledge of healthcare service lines, P&L centers, balance sheets, capital & operational planning in a Healthcare setting.
  • Proven project and portfolio management skills. Experience in successfully delivering Public and Private Partnership / Managed Equipment Service projects operationally.
  • Experienced in communication with all levels of internal and external customer organizations, including upper management and leading cross-functional and customer / supplier teams.
  • Proven record in developing strong customer relationships, with excellent networking, facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with managing resources, conflict resolution, problem solving, understanding of budgets and other related project management techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience anticipating challenges or roadblocks and successfully mitigating those risks while achieving desired outcomes for client and GEHC
  • Experience maintaining flexible approach when faced with business or client course corrections (i.e. client cost-out initiatives, industry economic conditions, healthcare reform legislation, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel 20%
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience working in the Healthcare industry including interaction with hospital administration (i.e. account management, relationship-building experience)
  • Experience in client-facing role such as consulting, project management, or process improvement (Six Sigma/ LEAN) while serving as advocate for client’s needs
  • GE Healthcare Diagnostic Imaging & Clinical Services experience
  • Experience working in a highly-matrixes environment, effectively influencing and persuading others to achieve GEHC goals defined in client growth strategy
  • Experience working with GEHC products and services
