As the "Air Traffic Controller" of our clinical onboarding and training ecosystem, you will lead the team responsible for the end-to-end readiness of a ~1,500-person clinical workforce. You are an operational architect who moves beyond day-to-day delivery to focus on Governance, Capacity Planning, and Scalability. You will manage a cross-functional team serving as the primary influencer with business stakeholders and cultivate strategic alliances across the organization to turn training from a standalone department into an integrated business partner that anticipates needs and scales in lockstep with company growth.Your success is measured by one goal: achieving "Speed to Proficiency" through data-driven decisions and high-leverage technology.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Governance & Data-Driven Decision Making
- Training Governance: Own the department’s Intake Framework. Use business ROI and team capacity data to categorize requests as Acute, Standard, or Targeted.
- Evidence-Based Negotiation: Act as the primary consultant for stakeholders; use historical performance data to strategize new hire blackout dates or schedule adjustments to protect training quality.
- Success Analytics: Define and track success metrics to measure the business impact of training and onboarding.
2. Scalable Operations & Technology Integration
- Tech-Enabled Scaling: Optimize the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Knowledge Base platforms, and AI tools to automate manual workflows and support a rapidly growing workforce.
- Onboarding Engineering: Analyze the onboarding funnel to identify friction points (e.g., EMR access delays). Partner with IT and Talent Acquisition to engineer automated, "Day 1" ready solutions.
- Knowledge Ecosystem: Oversee the Clinical Knowledge Enablement (CKE) function, ensuring the Clinical Resource Center (CRC) acts as a high-fidelity "Single Source of Truth" for all clinical workflows.
3. Team Leadership & Capacity Planning
- Strategic Resource Allocation: Balance high-velocity Virtual Care demands against high-complexity Population Health needs by deploying ID and CKE resources where data shows the highest impact.
- Talent Development: Coach and manage each team member to approach their functional area as a business owner, using data and technology to drive efficiencies and deliver high quality clinician experience.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular observations of facilitation and design deliverables, establishing a continuous feedback loop driven by facilitator scores and on-time project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years in clinical training and/or onboarding; 2+ years of people management experience; preferred leading remote/distributed teams.
