Role Overview
Nurse Practitioners in Vitable’s provider network use their clinical expertise and autonomy to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care via telemedicine. This per diem role is designed for multi-state licensed NPs who are seeking flexible, per-diem work—perfect for those who want to practice on their days off while earning supplemental income, while delivering accessible, patient-centered virtual care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and healthy lifestyle choices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and support staff for coordinated care
- Document patient care in electronic health records
- Adhere to all Vitable Health policies and guidelines and complete all training
Candidate Requirements
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Active multi-state (15+) NP licensure:
- Must have licenses in DE & CA
- Preferred licenses in: ◦ Arizona Arkansas California* Colorado Connecticut Delaware* District of Columbia Illinois* Kansas Kentucky Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan New Hampshire New Mexico New York North Carolina Oregon Rhode Island Utah Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin
- Able to work 10-15 hours / week
- Possess Independent Prescriptive Authority, where applicable
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in primary care setting (post-training), including comfort with women’s health
- Minimum 1 year telemedicine experience
- Comfortable providing care synchronously via video
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Strong diagnostic skills and excellent communication abilities
- Skilled at using online tools and platforms to deliver care and communicate with patients
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to work evenings and Friday and/or Sunday
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Pediatric experience
